AMINA (Hong Kong) Limited has secured a Securities and Futures Commission Type 1 license, marking a milestone as the first international banking group to provide comprehensive crypto spot trading and asset safeguarding services in Hong Kong. The subsidiary of Swiss-regulated AMINA Bank AG now offers institutional-grade crypto services to professional investors, including corporations and high-net-worth individuals, within the city's regulatory framework.

The license enables 24/7 crypto spot trading, asset custody, and direct withdrawals to whitelisted addresses under SFC standards. "Hong Kong leads regional institutional crypto adoption, and this license positions AMINA to meet growing demand from professional investors," said Michael Benz, Head of AMINA Hong Kong and APAC.

The MOVE fills a critical gap in Hong Kong's crypto market, where institutional players previously lacked access to globally compliant services with local onboarding capabilities. The offering remains exclusive to professional investors under current regulations.
